The reason halb beats other classes in the long run for solo is the 100%def ignore on Dragon Tooth. Impact>dragon tooth(smite)>meikyo(cons) spam for damage, meikyo helps you prorate and ampr Reflex>Decoy(save)>Warcry(swift)>holy fist(swift) will keep you in mp, make sure its timed well, like after you dodge an aoe, cast and lure boss in range. With Vita+ from store and hp food you can get above 10k hp. You have a chance to make the target Flinch. However, using Martial Skills with a knuckle equipped (whether as a main or a sub-weapon) increases its damage and the success rate for dealing with status effects. Like Magic Skills, Martial Skills can be used no matter what weapon you use. Str>agi stat, atk and cd focused gear, with the typical hp boosters in place as well(ornlarf, hp boost skill, consider deniala for ring for hp and ampr) Martial Skills center around the Knuckle Weapon. I don't recommend using godspeed wield, or kairiki renshin as both lower your survivability. can solo any boss at any difficulty so long as you know what you're doing.
ah man, in my build video i always write the r. (not recommend for newbie since you need pricey gear for starter) But if you use mercenary then most normal playing is fine with any class, even mage yeah. For a more advance playstyle dual sword or Halberd with absurdly high ASPD and evade.

For full dps+survivability, halb with decoy, warcry, and impact, plus a gear that gives tumble unavailable(hallucination spore is best use as there are better add gear to choose from for the dps aspect). too many people ask me what best stats for knuckle dps why use str str not increase atk why use it. Becuz they can take dmg easily with perfect defence skill.
